Lily Marotto

Lily Marotto was born in Moscow just before the start of Perestroika (the breakup of USSR). Her family faced the struggle of the country through several ups and downs in the transition from communism to democracy. That led her parents to teach her foreign languages and do their best to send her study abroad. She had the opportunity to live in various countries, to examine different lifestyles, and to get acquainted with a multiplicity of cultures. This experience had a huge influence on her designs.

After completing 2 Masters Degrees (Commercialization of Objects of Art, and Psychology), Lily completed a program in the Phillips de Pury Auction House. Lily worked as a brand manager for a number of international fashion brands. This experience made her realize that she would love to create her own looks and designs.

Five years ago Lily moved to the California bay area. She continued her education, gaining a certification as a stylist and color analyst with AICI and Fashion Stylist Institute. After that, she graduated with honors from the Apparel Design and Merchandising program at College of Alameda.

Lily is able to create garments in different categories and styles – from high-couture and bridal, to funky outdoor clothing. Lily is a wizard of color combinations and fabrications with unique prints. The quality of her corsetry and the luxury of couture finishing, makes any woman feel like a Queen. All the prints she uses are unique, with all fabrics printed and processed at her design studio in California.

Lily has presented her collections at LAFW, multiple times at NYFW, participated in other NYC and SF fashion shows and events. She has created couture gowns for pageants and galas, supported charity auctions, and won design awards.

Right now, Lily is working on her printed Ready-to-Wear line made of cotton and silk, creating two couture collections a year, designing a special line for West Coast Leather, and continuing to work on custom orders. All garments are one-of-a-kind, made with the finest fabrics, true masterpieces of luxury and style.
